The MFF Podcast is back, and this week we’re talking about the 1993 Pauly Shore comedy Son in Law. When we decided to cover a Thanksgiving-themed episode, we immediately knew Son in Law would be the perfect choice. We’ve already covered Encino Man (great episode, listen to it), so naturally, we had to continue our exploration into the Pauly Shore cinematic universe (PSCU Encino Man, Son in Law, In the Army Now). In this episode, we explore Crawl’s psychology, 1990’s hacking and puffy cheeks. Enjoy!

If you are a fan of the podcast make sure to send in some random listener questions so we can do our best to not answer them correctly. We thank you for listening and hope you enjoy the pod!

Son-in-law is a hilarious movie and watching it is our Thanksgiving tradition. The turkey in the kitchen might be the funniest scene in any movie ever! Still cracks me up!

Another wonderful episode exploring the psychology of Shore’s 90s characters. I recall loving this movie–but it came out when I was about 12. I probably last saw it in my early 20s (with beer).

Okay, so I just watched The Prince and Me and… is it me, or does Prince and Me owe some small debt to Son-in-Law for the whole concept of bringing an odd classmate home for Thanksgiving, and then developing feelings for the person as he assimilates to farm life and gets to know your family? The Prince and Me… more like the Chillin’ with the Wheeeez and Me.

Yes. The Prince and Me 100% stole from Son in Law. I love this idea.
