The MFF podcast is back, and this week we’re talking about the 1994 cult classic Wes Craven’s New Nightmare. This meta-horror film is the lowest grossing of The Nightmare on Elm Street series, but, it’s our second favorite Nightmare film because of how it made Freddy scary again, and attempted something truly different (it gets weird). In this episode, we discuss underworld water slides, leather pants and the logistics of setting up a fountain in a hellscape. Enjoy!
If you are a fan of the podcast make sure to send in some random listener questions so we can do our best to not answer them correctly. We thank you for listening and hope you enjoy the pod!

I really need to think about this now. I enjoyed your commentary on Freddy’s perhaps self-perceived rockstardom and the leather pants. I also realize I need to rewatch this ASAP for that highway scene!
I really really really dislike the leather pants!
I had forgotten all about the leather pants. As you mentioned it I actually felt angry. Then the “full of himself” Freddy notion made me want to give it a second chance. lol
I loved, by the way, your horror house realty discussion. I feel like that topic is under-discussed with the exception of real houses where real deaths occurred–e.g., the Amityville Horror house. Do you think the old Sawyer house (TCM 2003) has a good floorplan for an ALF? I’m thinking of starting an old folks home as a small business.
