The MFF podcast is back, and this week we’re talking about the 1979 creature feature Alien. Directed by Ridley Scott, this classic movie features gooey aliens, chest explosions and excellent production design that still looks great today. In this episode, we discuss jerky aliens, cereal consumption and arbitrary knob turning. Enjoy!

A great discussion about one of the greats! To your inquiry about the mist over the eggs in the vicinity of the looooooong dead Space Jockey–I always assumed it was some sort of preservation (a stasis). Of course, it’s easy for me to form that conjecture now, having seen numerous sequels including Prometheus and Covenant and knowing what we know about these engineered monsters. But wasn’t there like a laser-light reaction when the guy passed his hand through the “surface” of the mist? Perhaps that was some sort of boundary… a laser field that prevented the “stasis mist” from wandering off but would allow, say, perhaps Catherine Zeta-Jones’ butt to slide under it a la Entrapment.
Haha! What a great visual. She and Connery could’ve stolen some of those eggs without tripping a wire.
