Mark and Jay discuss the 1996 disaster film Twister. Directed by Jan dBont, and starring Helen Hunt, Bill Paxton and an unlucky cow, the movie focuses on what happens when a group of storm chasers enter the suck zone. In this episode, they also talk about catapults, sound mixing and the excellence of Philip Seymour Hoffman. Enjoy!

Holds up well. I just rewatched it last week.
Great review. I had a chance to watch this film recently and really loved it. It’s a spectacular summer blockbuster about disaster. I thought that it was a massive improvement on the 1996 film which I found overrated. That film had plenty of action but little story. In this regard, this sequel was far better. A perfect summer blockbuster.

An excellent review once again. I had a chance to watch this movie recently and really loved it. It’s a spectacular summer blockbuster. I thought that it was a huge improvement over the 1996 film which I honestly found overrated. It manages to find a balance between the storytelling and spectacle which was missing from the original. The most fun I’ve had at the theatre all summer.
